We are back up -- still a bit of tweaking to be done, but there are also two new chapters of Seven Years to be posted, along with a number of short pieces I've been writing in my Live Journal. Those will start appearing in the next few days.

I must apologize for the long break. I've been a bit pre-occupied with the saga of my kitchen sink and accompanying family angst. With the sink now fixed, I can return my attention to things fannish and so am posting the final three parts of Something New. This completes the middle part of the trilogy, which is to be concluded in House Guests. That story will begin posting next week.

Part Nine picks up the story from Spike's POV the morning after the argument between himself and Buffy, while Part Ten sees the return of a familiar face whom Buffy is less than thrilled to see. In Part Eleven, there is much conversation, some of which should have happened some time ago.

In other news, I'm pleased to announce that some of my work has been nominated for awards in two seperate competitions.

In the Love's Last Glimpse awards, Gin Joint was nominated for Best Long Story and Best Future Fic, while Seven Years in the Desert was nominated for Best WIP, Best Angst and Best Romance. I have also been nominated for Best Author.

In the Vampire Kisses awards, Seven Years has been nominated for Best Long Fic, Most Original Plot, and Best WIP, while I was nominated for Best Author.

it is an embarrassment of riches and I'd like to thank those who nominated me.

Writercon was great. My first week back from vacation, not so much.

After an unexpected but much needed hiatus due to real life and plugged sinks, I'm back with Part VIII of Something New. We pick up up the discussion between Buffy, Spike and Dawn following the restaurant. You had to know things were going a little too smoothly.

I'm posting two parts of Something New today. The first is Part VI, which should have been posted Tuesday, but real life got in the way. Here we see the conversation Buffy has with Xander while Spike was speaking with Giles. Yes, Xander has issues concerning Spike and the fact he's alive.

The second is Part VII. Giles is doing his best to find a place for Willow so she won't insist on going to Rome...and ends up having a conversation with Willow that sheds some light on what's going on in both her and Xander's lives.

I'm posting Part VII today because I'm off to Las Vegas in a few hours to attend Writercon, a gathering for fic writers who play in the Whedonverse Sandbox. Since I'm not at all sure I'll have internet access over the weekend (not to mention the fact I'll likely be out partying), I decided it'd be best to post early. The next part will be up Tuesday, August 3.

Once again, I have two items to post today. First, Chapter Seventeen of Seven Years in the Desert has now been posted. The last few chapters set in 2009 have concerned Spike; now we see what Buffy is up to as Giles, Mike and the Field Team arrive in Sunnydale. Unfortunately for her, the slayer dreams are continuing...

Also posted is Part IV of Something New. Not a lot of Spike & Buffy in this part but a look at some of the training Giles does for the slayers under his charge. Also a bit more of slamming Kennedy for those who enjoy such things. Yes, I'm working out some character issues and exploring some real weaknesses I felt she had.

As I didn't post Saturday due to some real life issues, the next two parts of Something New have now been posted. Part II finishes the dinner and gives us a look at Buffy and Spike together, while Part III features Buffy and some Scooby discussion. Buffy is...overjoyed.

The next part of the story will be posted July 20 as Chapter 17 of Seven Years in the Desert will be posted Saturday.

Today we begin the sequel to Gin Joint, entitled Something New. Set three months after the previous story, Buffy and Spike travel to London to meet the Scoobies and let them know she's figured out that Spike's alive.

We come to Chapter Sixteen of Seven Years and the action is back in Sunnydale from the end of 2002 to the early months of 2003. Some relationships begin to move ahead while others falter.

Where the Heart Is is a ficlet set in the Seven Years universe featuring Giles and Anya as they reach the one year mark on their relationship. Love, happiness and a new home in London.

Today's offering is A Brief Encounter, a stand alone story featuring Darla and Spike. While we never actually saw a tremendous amount of interaction between Darla and Spike in either Buffy or Angel, I always got the impression they weren't terribly fond of each other and I doubt a visit from his "relatives" would make Spike very happy.

Here at last is the fifth and final part of Gin Joint. The second story in the trilogy is entitled Something New and I will begin posting it on July 6.

Next up is a standalone inspired by the episode "Why We Fight," followed by a Giles/Anya story in the Seven Years series and a new chapter of Seven Years itself.

I'm pleased to introduce the first story of Something New, a new trilogy. The story is called Gin Joint and takes place a year or so the ATS finale. While on separate missions, Buffy and Spike find they have common cause. This story is complete and is being posted in five parts.

Today's posting is Chapter Fifteen of Seven Years in the Desert. We continue with the aftermath of the mission the Heildelberg and a look at some of the inner dealings of the Council of Watchers.

The next chapter is scheduled to be posted on July 3; in the meantime, I'll be posting some standalone pieces as well as the first story in a new trilogy that takes place after the AtS Finale.

To everyone who's been waiting patiently for updates, my apologies. At this point, updates are scheduled for Tuesdays and Saturday each week through at least the end of July. This includes at least three new chapters of Seven Years in the Desert as well as an extra fic piece for that series, a standalone piece with Darla and Spike, and the first two stories of a new trilogy called Something New, as well as anything else I can come up with. No, I haven't forgotten Life in Sunnydale, either; updates for that are in the works as well.

First up is Chapter Fourteen of Seven Years in the Desert. The action has returned to 2009, with a focus on what's happening in London. It appears that the activities within the Order of Aurelius have picked up...and Spike is about to discover that it does have a personal impact on him.

Happy New Year. Chapter Thirteen of Seven Years in the Desert is now posted and, appropriately enough for the season, we are now at Christmas 2002. No surprise visits from exes this holiday, but since it's Sunnydale, things don't go as smoothly as they might.
