Personally, I adore link pages; I've uncovered
some incredible resources and fan fic through links. What
follows are some I think are worth checking out.
Buffy
Resources
Psyche's
Transcripts and Shooting Scripts - An invaluable reference
for any Buffy fan, but especially for the writer of fic. This
is where I go when I need to see exactly how the writers spelled
the test the Council administered to Buffy on her eighteenth
birthday, or what was the name of that demon?
The
Official Site - Buffy's home with the UPN. Episode
previews and video clips, even if their summaries for Season
Six left something to be desired.
Leoff
Online - Can't wait until Tuesdays at 8PM? When there's
a new episode, Leoff has the "wildfeed," an early
review of the feed UPN sends out to its affiliate stations
early on Monday morning. That's right - over 36 hours to anticipate
what you're going to see on the screen. Also hosts wildfeed
for a few other programs including this show on WB about a
former cheerleader from Sunnydale who helps the helpless.
I think she works with a vampire with a soul ("Vampire
with a soul? How lame is that?").
BtVS-Tabula
Rasa - The site for my "home" list. Essays,
episode reviews and a host of other goodies. BtVS may be All.About.Buffy,
but this is definitely a Spike redemption site and it's All.About.Spike.
Home of the Spoiler Zone and Dori's Spikefeed (Spikefeed is
like the Wildfeed, but Spike-centric for those of us who appreciate
such things).
The
Spoiler Slayer - Your one-stop shop for all your spoiler
needs. Frank does a wonderful job of juggling the various
spoilers out there. This is where I go to find out what everyone
else is saying. Especially entertaining is the fact he keeps
a running scorecard of spoilers for the season and what their
status is (confirmed, highly likely, unlikely, confirmed false).
As the season goes on, it's interesting to go back and see
what was being passed around.
Just
Imagine - One of my favorite screenscap site. Beautiful
site, beautiful pictures and very complete.
Alanna is an incredibly talented writer and
artist (her fic is listed in the fic section) who also does
screencaps. The image used in my site's button was done by
her. Don't just visit to check out the screencaps; take a
moment to enjoy the art she uses to decorate her site.

Fan
Fic
There is some superb fic out there on the
'net, material that is as good as some of ME's best (and far
better than their worst). What follows are my personal recommendations
for material to check out. More will be added as I find them
or they fall out of the morass that is my brain.
This was one of the first Buffy fan fic sites
I found. Decidely redemption-oriented, with two book-length
fics (Dancing Lessons and War!) and a third just started (Restoration).
Starts post-Crush in S5 and branches off from there. While
"Dancing Lessons" forms the heart of the site, don't
forget to check out the Fic
Extras. Highly recommended.
Beginning after "The Gift", "Raising
in the Sun" is Barb C.'s take on how Dawn, Willow and
Spike bring Buffy back. "Necessary Evil" picks the
story up shortly after that, and is currently in progress.
Very entertaining.

London Calling
is the home for fic by Magpie, Lesley and Lori. Lesley is
author of Three Lions, a dark series that follows one
possible path from the aftermath of Grave, a path that
simply could not have been done on the show. In contrast is
the much lighter Englishman Abroad, which follows the
newly re-tuned (not souled; that's the poofter) Spike from
Africa to Sunnydale to Egypt to...Katmandu? From Lori there
is the wonderful Giles and Spike-verse, which would have made
a fine TV show on it's own. Magpie writes "Serpentigena"
a somewhat dark series that focuses on Spike/Buffy and Wesley/Faith.
W/F is not a ship I would necessarily consider, but Magpie
makes it work on so many levels. The latest piece is Eyes
Only, a collaboration between the three with each author
taking on one of three voices: Giles, Spike and Wesley. The
prologue and epilogue is written in traditional fic format,
while the main body of the story takes the form of a Live
Journal group. Somewhat different, but worth it.

Two different pages
by one talented lady. Perletwo started with "A Clean
Slate in Sunnydale" which began as an archive for her
Amnesiaverse series and has expanded to include a number of
other fine fics, including her delightful Mr. Gordo stories.
For those of us who are of age (legally, at least), there
is "Burn it All Away." The title series takes place
during S2 and is a fine piece of B/S smut in the realm of
"might have been."
If you enjoyed Perletwo's Mr. Gordo stories,
check out Taramisu's "The Adventures of Mr. Gordo"
to read Colleen Hillerup's story that started it all and view
the wacky and wonderful pictures of Buffy's favorite stuffed
pig.
Arianne does some marvelously evocative pieces,
especially her Dragonfly series. Another great example
of B/S fic that can stand on its own from the series. Also
check out her link section, which features some marvelous
writing links.
Evenstar's
Fiction - A collection of interesting and different
fics. I especially recommend Man of Mystery and On
the Rooftop. Features both short fic and a number of full-length
epics.
Alanna has a truly beautiful way with words.
"Springtime" is a piece that moves me each time
I read it, but for sheer wackiness, nothing can top "The
Secret Mating Rituals of the Slayer and the Vampire."
NC-17, but far from simple smut! For one of the best post-Grave
fics I can recommend, try "The Last Slow Hours of Morning."
Buffy and Spike struggle with the aftermath of Seeing Red
in a very touching and believable way. This is also the home
of "Hard Candy," a difficult look at the sexuality
between Buffy and Spike between Gone and As You
Were.
His
Luv Pet - A lot of fan fic plays at serious themes.
"Ingression" is a very rare piece, dealing with
issues of grace, salvation, and theology in a very thoughtful
and thought-provoking way. Highly recommended.
Buffy-Related
Fan Fiction by Elsa - Another site with both interestng
and different fic. Haven follows Spike as he rides
out of Sunnydale, while Washing Up is a marvelous Season
7 speculation vignette. Also worth your time is the WIP I,
Angelus, Speak, which is the newly-vamped William's history
from Angelus' point of view. Good stuff, but not for the squeamish.
The largest project is Dead Man Blues, which revolves
around Spike in London of 1925. Elsa has put a lot of work
into the project, including providing an appropriate soundtrack
for each chapter.
Spike's
Guilty Pleasures - Ripe Wicked Plum's always interesting,
always unique site. Spike and Buffy: the Pride and Prejudce
version?
Fan
Fiction by Nmissi - I especially recommend "Folie
a Deux" a very different take on the episode "Normal
Again."

Fic Archives
I originally had these lumped in with the
fic links, but it makes more sense to seperate them out as
there are several archive sites to recommend and more to come.
If you are looking for a wide variety of BtVS
and AtS fic, this is the site for you. You can search by title,
author, show, category, rating, character or ship -- and those
are just the quick links. A growing archive that is well worth
the time to search through.
Alas, a decision was made to take this site
out of active archiving due to ongoing server problems. The
stories that were previously archived there are still available,
though, and many of the authors have posted links to their
own sites.
This a is lovely and well-set up site that
I cannot recommend highly enough. Some of the authors I've
mentioned above have their fic archived here and I've found
it a great place to uncover new reads. Go. Enjoy.
The
Bloody Awful Sandlot - This is an archive site primarily
(at this point) for fiction originally posted on the lists
Spike's Salvation and Bloody Awful Gutter. My
fic is posted to these lists first and I can assure you there
is a tremendous amount of talent that will be gathered here.
You want links? This is a very comprehensive
link site. Just pick one at random and go.

Link to Me
I enjoy sharing my fic (hence the site) and
would be pleased if you decided to link to me. Text links
are fine and dandy, but if you'd like a graphic button, please
feel free to copy the following image to your own server.
The appropriate address to use is: http://www.missivesfromthehellmouth.com.
If you do link, please let me know; I'd be happy to add a
link back to your page.

Update Notification List
Want to know when I've updated my site? Consider
joining my notification list (which has just been moved from
NotifyList.Com to Yahoo!). This is an announcement-only list,
so you don't have to worry about high traffic (unless I go
crazy and write a large amount of material in a very short
time). The box below is Yahoo's preferred method for having
you subscribe, but if you can't or don't want to actually
go to their site, you can send an e-mail to missiveshellmouth-subscribe@yahoo.com
and that will take you through the process via e-mail.
